About three years ago, a bright young Vietnamese software developer and an experienced Belgian software developer and entrepreneur, who had been collaborating on various software projects, have decided to formalize their collaboration and to jointly create a company in Hanoi, Vietnam where a team of one, then two and now five full-time software developers are actively working on a variety of software projects mainly for European as well as for Vietnamese companies.
All developers working at Virtual Sushi in Hanoi are full-time employees who have been carefully hand-picked from the vast offering of Vietnam's dynamic technology universities and start-up scene. This fastly growing team is currently working from our own hub in one of Hanoi’s most modern co-working spaces.

When selecting our developers we aim very high as we try to find developers with the highest scores on the personal characteristics we think are the key factors for success. Having an undeniable talent for writing great software code, of course, is a must for developers that come aboard but besides that, we try to assemble a pool of developers that master all the below skills to a lesser or greater degree:

Virtual Sushi Europe

While Virtual Sushi Asia is the backbone of this joint-venture, Virtual Sushi Europe, located in Brussels from where all projects are managed and coordinated plays an evenly important role. It also is the administrative headquarters of Virtual Sushi as all invoices and guarantees are created from here.

About ten years ago, Virtual Sushi started doing software development for a few organisations in and around Brussels and as of that moment it organically and steadily grew which created the need for hiring extra developers. Around 2010, Virtual Sushi started working with freelance offshore developers and quickly managed to create a pool of highly skilled and trustworthy developers mostly Java and web oriented. These are the developers that were involved in the founding of Virtual Sushi Asia.

Besides being the administrative headquarters, the Brussels’ entity also organizes and assembles the proxy teams as they are defined in our OxP offering.
